A lot of people ask how I became a Hand Analyst. Here is part (a brief part!) of my story.
As early as I can remember, I was very curious about the meaning of life, why I was here and sensed that it was important to live my purpose (though I wasn't sure what it was).
So it feels like a blessing to now be able to empower and guide conscious entrepreneurs, holistic practitioners and creative change makers with clarity in life direction. By reading their gifts, strengths and unique design in their hands and fingerprints, I assist people to live aligned with their personal code for greater contribution and fulfillment.
I am a certified Advanced Hand Analyst, having completed 2 years of professional training with the International Institute of Hand Analysis, and continue to study under the founder of this modern, scientific form of palmistry, Richard Unger. But becoming a hand reader wasn't always in my plans, In fact for much of my life I felt quite lost and uncertain of what to do.
In university I enrolled in Biology - having been encouraged to go into science - the guidance counsellor said it would "yield more opportunities". However a couple years into the program I felt like life was being sucked out of me. In the end I completed my degree after some side exploration into philosophy and religious studies.
After returning to school for Culinary Management because of a desire to nourish people and do more creative work, my search continued through multiple changes in career direction during 16 years as a professional chef, holistic culinary coach and instructor.
I was really good at cooking - but it still felt like something was missing. This ongoing doubt was exhausting. I reached burn-out several times as a chef.
Throughout much of this time I underwent years of personal development and spiritual growth exploration - which took me on a path to yoga ashrams, India, Ayurveda spas, and various healing modalities. Despite this additional learning I continued to feel unfulfilled and that I was holding myself back.
My quest unexpectedly led me to discover hand analysis, (thanks to Google and then a series of synchronicities!) which finally provided answers to why I had felt so stuck. I found hand analysis so compelling that I decided to study it at a professional level, which unlocked my sense of purpose in my own life.
By more deeply understanding myself I found the courage to say no to doing anymore catering work to "pay the bills", and took the leap of faith to support myself solely as a professional hand analyst.
I now assist others to understand themselves and create a life of greater meaning. I see clients in person in the Vancouver BC area, and also offer distance readings and coaching via video conferencing for people across Canada and Internationally. So far my farthest clients have been from Norway, the UK, Australia and even India!
"I have had the sincere privilege of knowing and working with Jill for a few years now. I suppose because of this patient unfolding, I feel confident in saying that the work she is offering is potent, essential and carried with the tenderness of devotion.
Jill is devoted not only to her client's well-being and transformation, but also to her own. The depth to which she has entered her own healing and self knowing is directly reflective in the wisdom she is able to offer another in a hand-analysis session - which is clear and gentle guidance to understand our own unique purpose in Life.
I am deeply moved and brilliantly surprised every time I sit with Jill - her compassion is palpable - and each time, my opportunity for growth is deepened. Jill has found her call to service, and the best part is, she is aiding others to do the same!"
